Advantages of sliding patio doors
- space saving – no space in front of the door is needed to open it, and in the case of choosing a door that hides in the wall, we also gain space by the wall,
- convenience of opening – when opening the HST door, we do not have to move away from the window, because the window sash immediately slides to the side,

Sliding balcony doors – are they worth it?
Of course, yes! Sliding doors to the terrace or balcony will allow you to optically enlarge the space and provide freedom of arrangement, because using them we can create even corner structures with non-standard dimensions. This type of door will also be ideal if there is a person in the house moving in a wheelchair. A low threshold or no threshold at all, as well as the possibility of completely sliding the door leaf will then allow for comfortable, independent access to the terrace or balcony.
HST doors vs. PSK doors – basic differences
Both HST and PSK patio doors are sliding systems. The difference lies in their opening mechanism. PSK doors must first be tilted and moved away from the threshold before they can be moved along the rail. In turn, HST doors make it easier because you can immediately move the movable leaf onto the fixed leaf. This type of door is also better because it has a lower threshold, so older people, the disabled and small children will be better able to cross it.
What are the characteristics of sliding balcony doors?
EKOSLIDE – i.e. sliding balcony door system without thermal insulation. It is characterized by appropriate parameters of installation depth:
- frames 51 or 79 mm,
- sashes 18/21 mm – in a two- and three-track system, which allows for the arrangement of structures with two, three, four or six sashes.
These are systems without thermal insulation, with a possible filling of 1-12 mm.
